Can APH administer medication for my pet during their stay?

Yes! We charge $0.75 per medicating and $1 per insulin shot. Please keep in mind our hours (we can only medicate pets as early as 6:30am and as late as 6:30pm) and to provide an adequate amount of medication for your pet's stay (especially if you're unsure about the pick up date). APH has the right to refuse service to a pet who we believe would benefit from boarding at their vet clinic. We are more than happy to recommend clinics in the area that offer boarding for pets that require overnight or additional care that, unfortunately, cannot be provided by APH at this time.

When can I pick up and drop off my pet?

We are open Monday through Saturday from 7am-6pm, and Sunday from 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm. You may drop off (with a reservation) and pick up at any of these times. We ask that you drop off no later than 5:30pm if possible so we can get your pet settled in for the evening.

Does APH require pre-arranged meet-and-greet appointments for new boarding and daycare dogs?

We require all new dogs to pass a temperament test prior to participating in our off-leash social play (daycare) program. Our temperament tests are typically conducted during your dog's first daycare or boarding stay with us; therefore, we do not require a pre-arranged meet-and-greet prior to your pet's first stay with us. Our temperament test allows us to better understand your dog's play style and confirms that they enjoy participating in our +15 dog groups. Our groups are based on age, size, and temperament to provide a wide range of play options for our guests.

Does APH accept unaltered male and female dogs?

Yes! We do not require dogs to be spayed/neutered in order to stay with us. However, we will never allow an unalterned male to come into contact with an unaltered female. In the event your unaltered female is in heat, we will separate her from our play groups and spend one-on-one time with her instead.

Does APH accept non-social dogs?

Yes! If your dog is human-social, we would love to spoil him or her with lots of individual playtime with our staff members! We offer both daycare (one-on-one play time and day boarding) and boarding for our non-social guests. We also offer a variety of packages to keep your pup active and entertained while they stay with us!

What booster vaccines are required for puppies?

We require puppies to have a completed series of booster vaccines before playing and staying with us. These vaccines include:

  1. Bordetella (1 round)
  2. Distemper (3 rounds)
  3. Canine Influenza (2 rounds)
We do not require a rabies vaccine until six months of age.

What booster vaccines are required for kittens?

We require kittens to have a completed series of booster vaccines before staying with us. These vaccines include: 1. Rabies 2. FVRCP (2 rounds)

Does APH accept vaccines I administered myself?

We do not accept home-administered vaccines. If you choose to do your own vaccines yourself, please inform your veterinarian and have them update your pet's vaccine records. We will only accept a new print out of your pet's vaccines from your veterinarian ( i.e. we cannot accept feed store receipts, empty vials, or vaccine labels).

If I can't pick my pet up first thing in the morning, will you charge for an additional day?

Our boarding charges are charged per night. If you decide to pick up after 12pm (or between 3-6pm on Sundays/holidays), we will charge an additional $15.50 to your pet's stay instead of charging an additional night. If you are able to pick up before 12pm, we will not charge any additional fees. This fee only applies to boarding dogs (boarding cats, small animals, and birds may be picked up at any time during or hours of operation with no afternoon pick up fee).

Is APH open on holidays?

Yes! For our client's convenience, APH is open 365 days out of the year. We are open from 8am-10am and 3pm-6pm on Sundays and observed holidays. APH observes the following holidays: New Years Day Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Christmas Day
