COVID-19 Updates and Policies

Updated 11/16/20: In response to the Governor's recent two-week "freeze" for Linn County, Albany Pet Hotel will continue to offer boarding, daycare, and grooming services during our regular hours of operation. We will continue to keep our website and social media pages updated in the event our hours or services are temporarily limited in the unforeseeable future.

8am-10am and 3pm-6pm

You and your pet's safety matters to us...

For that reason, we are following all OSHA requirements and recommendations regarding the sanitation of our facility and the safety of our clients and employees. We have implemented the following protocols.

Clients

  • Masks, face shields, or face coverings are required for all clients over the age of 5. Masks are readily available for our clients and employees if needed (just ask!). Hand sanitizer is also available for our clients after handling commonly touched surfaces such as our credit card machine, pens, counter tops, door handles, etc. 

  • Social distancing of no less than 6' is enforced for all clients in our lobby area. If you are unable to social distance in our lobby area, please wait outside or in your vehicle until it is safe to do so. 

  • In addition to providing masks and hand sanitizer, we have stepped up our cleaning protocols as mandated by OSHA. We are cleaning commonly touched surfaces (i.e. credit card machine, counter tops, door handles, client bathroom, etc.) twice per day or as deemed necessary by our receptionist staff. We have multiple air purifiers throughout the facility (including one in our reception area). Filters are cleaned every week to ensure proper air filtration and carbon filters are replaced every 6 months.

  • During this time, the back of our facility is not open to the public. For this reason, we have paused tours of our facility until further notice. Photos of our kennels and play yards can be found on our website under the Boarding and Daycare pages. Thank you for understanding! 

  • Curbside assistance and over-the-phone payments are available for any of our clients who prefer contact-less services. Please call our office at 541-926-9351 to set up curbside assistance or to make a payment over the phone. 

  • For the safety of our employees, if you have come into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or if you are displaying any symptoms, please call us to reschedule any upcoming appointments.

Employees 

  • Employees are required to wear face masks or a face covering while inside the facility. Masks are readily available for both clients and employees as needed. Social distancing of no less than 6' is enforced for all employees in the workplace. 

  • In addition to providing masks for our employees, gloves and hand sanitizer are readily available as needed to promote the health and safety of our staff members. 

  • We are following all OSHA requirements including preparing risk assessments and teaching employees about COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

  • Commonly touched surfaces in the back of our facility (i.e. door handles, counter tops, mop and broom handles, etc.) are cleaned at least twice per day or as deemed necessary by our animal care staff. In addition to increased sanitation protocols, air purifiers are placed throughout the building for your pet's health as well as our employees'. Filters are cleaned weekly and carbon filters are replaced every 6 months. 

  • Additionally, any employee who has come into contact with someone positive for COVID-19, or who is displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, is required to stay home until negative test results are provided.
